Issue 134, June 2020 NZDating's having a makeover! When we started NZDating over 20 years ago the internet was a vastly different place, with 28k modems, VGA graphics and no such things as smart phones, our priorities were to create a site that was fast, simple to use and enabled Kiwis to meet each other easily. While we have made many changes to NZDating over that time, the biggest change has been the way people access the internet - both in terms of speed and devices. Over the past couple of years we've seen the number of members using phones to access NZDating grow to the point where it recently crossed over to more using phones than computers. With that in mind we've taken your feedback onboard and started creating a new NZDating platform to take advantage of a more mobile-focused service. We've kept all the features you use and love each day, but tried to make them easier to use regardless of the device you are using. Try the new NZDating now by going to: beta.nzdating.com That new platform is now available for your to provide feedback so we can create the best possible NZDating experience. Be honest but gentle on us please - this is a work in progress and WILL have problems, we don't have access to every permutation of devices and settings and so expect some things to not work correctly out of the box. We have added a feedback form at the bottom of every page so please comment and rate pages if you come across issues (or if you love the new page!) We have also added a small 'switch' to easily move between beta and the current site - if you want to switch just click on the version you want to use. Some changes to look out for: Top Menu We've removed the sub menu bar for more screen space on phones, all pages can now be access using the top pull down menus or links at the bottom of pages. Online status: Now easier to access under a new right hand menu (click on the icon) Gold Home Is it better or worse with all the sections on one page? check it out... GO BETA As a work in progress we have many new features in the pipeline, but wanted to get it out to you sooner rather than later, so please take a look and let us know what you think!
